Véronique Gogard called me to tell me that you do not remember me and my film " La momie à mi-mots ". It is a film who won the first Andreï Tarkovski price for artistic creation and cinematographical language with the great dancer and choreograph Carolyn Carlson, and as actors Jean Rouch (the famous etnographical movie maker) and the french actor Philippe Léotard.

Last summer, in july, I was invited by the french cultural conseiller at the french ambassy in New York, mister Laurent Burin des Roziers, in his house. From there I called you and you said to me to bring to you the video tape of my film (in 35 mm) at the Anthology Film Archives. I brought the tape to you. Just before going back to Paris, I called you again and you told me that you had seen the film. You said that you like it and you wanted to present it at your Institute in january. I said to you that I needed an official invitation to be able to come back to present my film and find the money for the travel. And you told me that you’ll send this to me in Paris.

I waited all these mounths, I called your assistant many time, but no answer has been given to me yet. That is why I decide to call Véronique and I said to her to join you directly from New York.

To give you better information about my film, I send you with this fax the article written by the cultural conseiller at the french ambassy in New York Laurent Burin des Roziers about the film (translated in english). I hope that, reading again this text, you will remember better my film.

I hope you’ll find finaly the tape and you’ll be able to tell Véronique (or directedly to me) what you intent to do. If you want to organise a week end of projection of my film at the Anthology Film Ahrchives as you said or not ?
