Dear Peter Greenaway,
As I told you in Istanbul, I send you the video tape of my film La momie à mi-mots (Mummy mommy) - with Carolyn Carlson as main actress (and Jean Rouch who says "hello" to you) - .
Our meeting in Istanbul and our discussions about art, painting and cinema were very beautiful moments for me.
I hope you will like my work as I like yours (your work is very important for me and I thank you for every film you make).
I try in this moment to show my film in the cinema Saint-Michel in Paris. As you know it is my first film. It is very difficult for a young and unknown director. I really need help and I think you could be interested in my work (which joins painting, dance, videoart, music and cinema). You could help me a lot in writing a few words (a short letter) to tell what you like in this film. I would be very grateful if you can do it.
I would be very happy to see you in London or Paris. Please call me if you come to Paris!
Sincerly yours
Laury Granier
N.B.: As I told you I'm also a painter and I included some of my paintings in my film. The painting on the postcard in the videotape is also one of my work ( I sign Laury Aime as a painter).
